People's Climate Innovation Center is pleased to announce the launch of the Young Climate Leaders of Color (YCLC) Program!
YCLC aims to build a national network of young leaders of color who are learning, growing, and advancing climate justice work in their own communities. The program seeks to immerse youth in climate justice, arts, story-based advocacy, cultural strategy, targeted direct action, community organizing, transformative change, ecological principles, and leadership development with amazing strategists, leaders, and political activators from across the country. YCLC participants will have the space to shape their projects into what they want to see and what they feel serves them and their communities.
Young people most directly impacted by climate disaster will be prioritized for this opportunity. We strongly encourage applications from young people who are based in the Northeast, the Gulf South, California, and Tribal lands. Applications will be accepted through October 31. Decisions will be announced early December. Applications are also available in Spanish here.
