This YBCL Mini Dream Lab commemorated the legacy of Black August and provided space for attendees to tap into practices of freedom dreaming and radical imagination. While providing some history and context on the importance of Black August, this Mini Dream Lab created the space to dream in ways that pay homage to our Black liberatory past, honor the present and celebrate what is to come in the future! Participants learned about and provided ideas for the Youth Futures Fund review process and engaged in open dialogue around a variety of topics including land investment, abolition, future learning topics, and current events.
