Are you an organizer, planner, or facilitator of community-driven planning processes looking to develop and hone your facilitative leadership skills? Apply to join the 2025 cohort in the NACRP Facilitator Certification Program!
The Facilitator Certification Program is intended to support those playing a facilitative leadership role in community-driven planning (of any type and scale) and working in-partnership with organizations rooted in communities disproportionately burdened by climate and racial injustice. This program is intended to support participants with facilitation skill development, peer support and project mentorship, and applied practice of community-driven planning.
We ask applicants to consider the time commitment of 2.5 hour monthly online learning sessions March-November, 2025 and an in-person 2.5 day gathering April 16-18, 2025 in Atlanta, GA.
As part of successful completion of the nine-month training and all program activities, participants will be eligible to become part of NACRP’s national facilitator network and receive referrals to community-driven facilitation and planning projects. The purpose of the referral network is to ensure that localities are able to connect with, and contract, trained facilitators who are accountable to frontline communities in their region and have real-world experience facilitating community-driven planning princesses.
Applications for the Facilitator Certification Program are due Friday, September 20, 2024. Slots are limited to 30 participants. People’s Climate Innovation Center and Facilitating Power are collaborating again to co-host this third cohort of the program and will make final selections by early December. The cost of participation is on a sliding scale. Early applications with needs-based requests are strongly encouraged as funds are limited.
